FAMILY – that’s a strong word.
We Believe in the Wisdom of Mothers.
Mothers are often the primary caregivers and know what their families need most to succeed. Our programs are designed in true partnership with the mothers, encouraging them to participate in defining benefits and services for their children. New mothers are often hit directly with seemingly-insurmountable economic challenges during the first year, right when they’re at their most vulnerable and need the most help. The cost of formula, diapers and clothing, continues to increase and add up during those early months and even when there’s enough to make ends meet, it can sometimes become overwhelming and tax resources, especially when families are not always able to work. This is where doamazingthings wants to help, because we know that raising a baby is already amazing, and these new mothers want nothing more than to create a better life for their child. We believe a better life for our children begins with a better life for us, which is why we want to incentivize new mothers to improve themselves. We have created a simple, easily accessed at-home curriculum designed to help mothers and other individuals improve themselves, teaching them new skills and providing new confidence to strengthen their lives. Completing these courses will earn these new mothers a stable and consistent stipend from doamazingthings to help support them and their new children during that time when it’s toughest.
We Believe in Strong Families.
Unbound sponsorship goes beyond distributing material goods and empowers families to become self-sufficient. Families—those with both parents in the home and those headed by one parent or a guardian—are the pillars of a strong, supportive community. The first thing a lot of new family’s experience coming to Canada is our winters. Many of them have never experienced our colder months, and as a result lack adequate clothing to meet our harsher conditions. doamazingthings aims to help these families by providing essentials like boots and heavy jackets, as well as any additional items they might require such as food and small holiday gifts for children. This helping hand getting started in a new city or country can be invaluable for a family, but we don’t want to stop here. We also want to help establish families who can’t afford to get the same cold weather clothing for their loved ones. By helping the new and existing families, we’ll allow them a chance to prosper so they can help others along the way in the future. To do this, we have created a simple, easily accessed at-home curriculum designed to help individuals and parents improve themselves, teaching them new skills and providing new confidence to strengthen their lives. Completing these courses will earn these families increased funding from doamazingthings to help support them during their first months in a new place.
Holiday joyous for Everyone.
It’s just a small part of how doamazingthings wants to work to improve our community, and with your support we can make these holidays joyous for everyone. Each Winter Holiday season, doamazingthings provides families in need with gifts of toys, books, and clothes. During this time, not every family is fortunate enough to receive gifts from their loved ones, so in response doamazingthings organizes an annual toy drive in partnership with several community partners. You can help us give hope today through our toy drive by donating whatever you can afford through the link below. Your money will be used to purchase new gifts for these families, and these gifts will be presented to the grateful families before December 25th.
